About Vippa
Vippa opened in 2017 in Shed 40 at the far end of Vippetangen, just by Akershus fortress and the ferries to the islands. Stall-based restaurants serve food from many countries – including Syrian, Eritrean, Chinese and Norwegian – and several of them were started by immigrants who got their first job in Norway here. The hall has long communal tables inside, outdoor seating on the quay and frequent concerts and events. Open Tuesday to Sunday.
