About Theatercaféen
Theatercaféen is located in Stortingsgata directly across from the National Theatre and has been a gathering place for actors, writers and businesspeople for over a hundred years. The interior is in Viennese style with a gallery and live music, and the walls are covered with drawn portraits of famous guests. The menu is classic Norwegian-continental: open sandwiches, fish soup, beef and shrimp sandwiches, as well as an extensive wine list. The café is open every day and is a natural stop before or after the theatre. Table reservations are recommended.
