About Statholdergaarden
Statholdergaarden is located in one of Kvadraturen's oldest buildings, known for its ornate stucco ceilings from the 1700s. Bent Stiansen, winner of Bocuse d'Or 1993, opened the restaurant in 1994 and has held the Michelin star since 1998 – the longest in Norway. The menu is a seasonal six-course with classic technique and Norwegian ingredients. In the basement is the informal sister establishment Statholderens Mat & Vinkjeller. The restaurant is open Monday to Saturday from 6 p.m.
