About Mathallen Oslo
Mathallen Oslo is located in the old Vulkan hall from 1908, at the bottom of Grünerløkka by Akerselva. The hall brings together specialty shops and small food establishments under one roof – fish counter, butcher, cheese shop, bakery, wine bar and restaurants with food from around the world – and regularly arranges food festivals and courses. Mathallen is closed on Mondays, but several of the dining places have longer opening hours than the hall otherwise. The surrounding area, Vulkan, also has hotels, a climbing center and Dansens Hus.
