Kaffebrenneriet at Ruseløkkveien 14 has got a new fantastic granite floor and become a bustling oasis for pedestrians and cyclists. In Vika we wanted to build a shop that would reflect the architecture of the building. The original concrete beams in the ceiling have been renovated and are indirectly lit by about 10 meters of LED strips. The light and structure give a good sense of the building's structure. For visible lighting we have reused lamps designed by now late architect Skaaden from Øyer in Gudbrandsdalen. They are made of pine, board on board, and are in the same style as the counters, where the wood is shown in its natural cross-section. Vikaterrace and Ruseløkkveien 14 were built in a period when architects sought out a raw and authentic style.
