About Kaffebrenneriet
We have chosen natural colors and materials in the design of this branch in line with the rest of Urtekvartalet. The chandelier in the ceiling is custom-designed by our interior architect Sara and consists of mouth-blown glass spheres from the former store at Saga Cinema and large wooden rings from previous lamp projects. The lamps above the counter are Norwegian design by Birger Dahl. The front of our counter consists of timber in smoked oak with fillings made of 100-year-old clinker tiles. The table tops are made of e-waste and coffee chaff (the shell from coffee beans that falls off during coffee roasting) from Danish Mater. The tables are accompanied by the Grorud chair designed in 1958 by Hans Brattrud.
