Finally, in June 2012 we opened our shop in connection with KaffeAkademiet and our headquarters in the venerable old Fire Station on Grønland. With us you can enjoy a good cup of coffee both inside and outside in our charming backyard. We have brought back the raw concrete floor, found the large loading stones under the asphalt and lifted them up, of course kept the fire pole and the beautiful garage doors – and tried to add as little as possible to this monumental space. That the journey from raw space to shop has been long, is forgotten. When we stand and gaze out at Grønlandsleiret or into the fire yard, it is with historical wonder in our ears, and with honorable joy that it is WE who are so fortunate to live in this fantastic house.
