About Frances
Frances is named after Frances E. Willis, US Ambassador to Norway 1957–1961, and is located in Eero Saarinen's embassy building at Solli square. The concept is wine bar and restaurant in one, with a wine list of over a thousand labels and a menu of sharing dishes from the Mediterranean and the Middle East. The place opens early with coffee and breakfast and continues late into the evening. Frances received Bib Gourmand in Michelin Guide 2026 and 91 points in Falstaff.
