About Lystslottet Oscarshall
Oscarshall is an important national romantic monument, and in 1881 King Oscar II opened the pleasure palace as a museum. The tradition is continued by today's royal couple, and Oscarshall is normally open to the public from May to August. Performances are also held here - music, dance and theatre - in addition to several official events. Oscarshall is owned by the state, but is at the disposal of His Majesty the King.
